Gilbride, Tusa, Last & Spellane, LLC is delighted to announce and congratulate, Attorney Katherine V. Hynes, its newest Associate in our Private Client Group.
Katherine’s practice is focused on estate and trust planning and administration, with an emphasis on wealth preservation and generational planning. She advises clients on lifetime gifting and wealth transfers as well as testamentary planning, focusing on the most effective means to accomplish clients stated goals. She additionally advises on all matters relating to probate and administration in New York Surrogate’s Court and Connecticut Probate Courts.
Prior to joining the firm Katherine practiced with Smith Legacy Law in Greenwich, Connecticut, where she worked on both estate planning and fiduciary litigation. In addition to this experience, Katherine began her career at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office and then transitioned to civil litigation work at the Westchester County Attorney’s Office. She has a B. A. from Brown University, and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
Katherine currently serves as Treasurer of the Round Hill Association in Greenwich, as well as on the Board of Trustees at Sacred Heart Greenwich. She previously served four terms on the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting and served as a member of the Claims Committee.
Katherine is admitted to practice law in Connecticut, New York, and Florida.
