Mr. Gilbride is the head of the firm’s Private Clients Group. His practice is focused primarily on wealth preservation, trust and estate planning and administration, probate law and estate and estate and gift taxation, private family foundations, the representation of high net worth clients in residential financing, sale and purchase transactions and maritime matters. Mr. Gilbride has maintained an “AV” peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell® for over 35 years.
He is a lifetime member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States and has served on the Maritime Law Association’s Shipbuilding Contracts Committee. He belongs to the American, Connecticut, Fairfield County and Greenwich Bar Associations. He received the 2011 Honorable Robert J. Callahan distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award from the Connecticut Chapter of the Fordham Law School Alumni Association.
Mr. Gilbride served in the Connecticut Army National Guard. He is a former Director of and served on the Loan Committee of Connecticut Community Bank. He has served on the Advisory Board of Gateway Bank, the Connecticut Advisory Board of First American Title Insurance Company, the Advisory Counsel of the YMCA of Greenwich, as the Planned Giving Professional Advisory Committee of Americas Foundation, Inc. Chairman of the Nurses’ Registry of Greenwich Hospital Alumnae and as Chairman of the Leadership and Professional Divisions of the Greenwich United Way. He currently serves on and is Secretary of the Greenwich Hospital Board of Trustees, as a Director and Secretary of the Northeast Greenwich Association, Inc. and is a Director and Officer of several private family foundations. He has served on the Parish Council, as Chairman of the Parish Pastoral Task Force and on the Finance Committee of Saint Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich. He is a former Governor and Officer of and has served on the Executive, Legal, House and Admissions Committees of the Greenwich Country Club. Mr. Gilbride is also an affiliate member of the Greenwich Board of Realtors.
