Mr. Sandler is Senior Tax Counsel for GTLS, practicing in the firm’s Personal Services Group. He has practiced for more than thirty years in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration and tax planning, as well as other concentrations.

As an estate planning attorney, Ted helps high-net worth clients develop and realize their estate planning goals in the most tax efficient manner possible through the use of lifetime gifting programs and preparation of tax-effective estate planning documents. He has also established numerous private foundations. In furtherance of achieving these objectives, Ted works closely with clients and their financial and professional advisors to ensure that these plans are properly implemented.

In the area of estate and trust administration, Ted assists clients navigate the settlement of estates. In this capacity, he reviews relevant documents, advises clients and corporate fiduciaries of their rights and responsibilities, and helps resolve controversies that arise in the course of the probate process.

Mr. Sandler also represents clients before federal and state taxing authorities in connection with estate tax audits, gift tax audits and individual income tax audits, and has successfully negotiated the resolution of numerous tax liabilities through installment agreements and offers-in-compromise.
